Welcome to the Kitchen Dancers

Who are we?

Being a Kitchen Dancer is more a statement about where we are in our lives and where we tend to be truest to ourselves, in our kitchens.

Kitchen Dancers WI was set up in 2008 and has grown to over 70 members. Our aim is to be inclusive and empowering and to encourage our members to set anything up that might be stimulating and fun.

If you wish to join, just be a woman (of any age) who is prepared to share her wisdom. Grandmothers, Mothers, Daughters, Working Women, Volunteers, Ladies who Lunch, Ladies who would like to lunch, everyone is welcome!

Our monthly meeting takes place at The Hundred Mens Hall, St Cross Hospital on the third week of the month alternately Mondays and Tuesdays.

Remembering Caroline Brenton - the original kitchen dancer 1960 - 2007

We are called Kitchen Dancers as we do not want to be defined by our geography.

Caroline was the original Kitchen Dancer and the inspiration for our group. Caroline was an excellent friend, who had her kitchen designed for dancing. We miss Caroline and her Kitchen Dancing, but celebrate her life and that of all good women when we meet.

An alternative WI, the golden age of women
